Projects we support
Each project reflects one of our three core commitments. We invite you to learn about them — and to support them too.
Con las Manos en la Ciencia
In a small mountain school in rural León, every child is a scientist. Led by Carmen Ramírez Alonso — biologist, educator, and neuroscience researcher at UC San Diego — this program brings cutting-edge brain science to young students via video calls from California. The landmark "White Coats Ceremony" sees children take a Hippocratic Oath to let science, truth, curiosity, and teamwork be their guides. A beautiful reminder that great education knows no borders.
Mizura — ALS Citizen Scientists
ALS patients and caregivers become scientists themselves — using smartphones to reconstruct 3D maps of wheelchair-accessible spaces. Led by researcher Dabiz Riaño at CSIC, who himself lives with ALS, Mizura is a radical reimagining of what inclusive, participatory science can look like when the people most affected are placed at the center of discovery.
School Connect Washington
A Seattle-based nonprofit weaving together churches, businesses, and community organizations with their neighborhood schools. Through volunteer literacy tutoring and afterschool programs, School Connect WA ensures every child builds the foundational reading skills they need — and that no student falls through the cracks because of where they live.
Spain Cultural Studies — Study Abroad
An immersive study abroad experience that takes students deep into Spanish language, history, and culture. By crossing borders and building authentic connections between communities, Spain Cultural Studies opens minds and expands opportunity for the next generation of global citizens — proving that transformative education often happens far from the classroom you started in.
